The 4 on the 4th road race in Endicott, New York, was an incredible event this year, filled with excitement, community spirit, and impressive performances. On July 4th, 2024, runners from all over gathered to celebrate Independence Day with a challenging yet exhilarating 4-mile race.

Overall Male Winners:
- Matthew Goyden from Endwell, NY, clinched the top spot with a time of 22:12.44.
- Jace Stuart from Apalachin, NY, finished second with a time of 22:19.76.
- Steve Esposito from Binghamton, NY, secured third place with a time of 22:26.92.

- Carolyn Burnell from Elmira, NY, took first place with a time of 25:19.45.
- Monica Deemie from Superior, CO, finished second with a time of 25:58.74.
- Jaelyn Chrysler from Apalachin, NY, came in third with a time of 27:00.72.
The Excitement in Endicott
The 4 on the 4th road race was more than just a competition; it was a community celebration. The streets of Endicott were lined with enthusiastic spectators cheering on the runners, creating an electric atmosphere. Families and friends gathered at the finish line to celebrate their loved ones' achievements, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.
The Athlete Village at the finish line was bustling with activity. Participants enjoyed premium food and beverages, including refreshing ice cream cones, which were a hit among both the runners and the spectators. The post-race party was a fantastic way to unwind and celebrate the holiday with the community.
The race also had a patriotic flair, with many participants dressed in red, white, and blue. The best dressed contest added an extra layer of fun, as runners showcased their most creative and patriotic outfits.
Supporting First Responders
This year’s race continued its tradition of supporting local first responder organizations. The Endicott Auxiliary Police, Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, and Endwell Fire Department, O.L. Davis Fire Company, were the charity partners. Their presence ensured the safety of all participants and highlighted the race’s commitment to giving back to the community.
