For close to a decade, Confluence Running has been focused on supporting and adding to the running community in New York. We are passionate, excited, and dedicated to putting our customers on the best possible footwear for their particular needs. We work hard to keep athletes in the correct type of support for their individual needs and pride ourselves on our ability to be friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to any customer who walks in our shop, whether they are a long-time runner, just starting out with a walking or other fitness program, or even recovering from surgery and learning to walk again. Requirements
- Have a friendly, outgoing personality and enthusiasm for running & fitness
- (being a fast runner is not a requirement!)
- Be willing to provide friendly, consistent customer service
- Work with each and every customer to meet their unique fitness and health needs (our customers are our family)
- Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude
- Ability to multitask with accuracy and proficiency
- Support and understand appropriate shoe fitting process as taught during training
- Be a team player
- Be proactive in your ongoing education regarding the company, products, services, sport injuries, shoe fitting process, and the running, triathlon, and fitness retail business
- Have flexible availability but be willing to be consistent with your hours - we are open every day of the week with emphasis on weekend hours (weekend & evening availability is required, our Saturday and Sunday are like Monday and Tuesday to other industries)
- Enjoy an ever-changing, fast paced environment
- Be willing to occasionally work at our other locations when needed
- Keep a clean workspace/shop
- Maintain a Dynamic Footwear Specialist Certification through the National Health Campaign program
- Previous sales experience and/or knowledge of biomechanics, sports injury, and anatomy is a plus!

Tasks & Expectations

- Inventory Management - Inputting products & inventory accurately
- Shop cleaning (dusting, mopping, window cleaning, etc.)
- High Customer Service & Customer Priority
- Strategic Merchandising of all products
