Confluence Running Partners with Sneaker Impact for Better Bins Shoe and Apparel Recycling Program
Confluence Running Joins the Better Bins Recycling Program!
We are excited to announce that Confluence Running is now participating in the Better Bins by Sneaker Impact program! This initiative, originally pioneered by the Low Impact Alliance in January 2024, has grown significantly, allowing us to take part in an impactful and sustainable recycling solution.
About the Better Bins Program
Due to the overwhelming success of the initial pilot program, with 15 stores participating and over 100 new stores eager to join, the Low Impact Alliance has entrusted Sneaker Impact to take over the program and expand its reach. Our goal is to increase sustainability and awareness while making it easy for our customers to recycle their unwanted footwear and apparel.
How the Program Works
-
Customers can drop off their unwanted sneakers and fitness apparel in the designated collection bins at Confluence Running.
-
Sneaker Impact will collect, sort, and repurpose the donated items.
-
Sneakers that can be reused will be cleaned, refurbished, and sent to over 20+ countries to create economic opportunities.
-
Worn-out sneakers will be recycled into new products made from 100% post-consumer recycled materials.
-
The program launches on January 1, 2025 and is free for all participants.
-
Shipping is pre-paid via FedEx and includes an automated sustainability report for each collection box received.
