Race Recap: Southern Tier Cross Country Series Heats Up in Greene, NY – Next Stop: Marathon!
The second race of the Southern Tier Cross Country Series took place at Greene Lions Park near Raymond Corporation on October 13, 2024, piggybacking on the Dave Panella Memorial Cyclocross Races. Despite the light rain and chilly 44-degree temperatures, the runners showed up ready for another round of competition and community spirit. The challenging conditions didn't dampen the excitement, as teams and individual runners gave their best performances across the scenic course.
In the men’s race, NEWBSANITY dominated, with Ryan Brizzolara, Jarrett Newby, and Eric Repp sweeping the top three spots. For the women, Emily Miller from Team Confluence continued to impress with her first-place finish, followed by strong performances from Hannah Driskell of HUSTLE XC and Kara Gorgos of Thilly Wabbit. The team competition saw:
