Extreme Newbsanity XC Race #4
Location:
790 Dunham Hill Rd, Whitney Point, NY 13862
Look for signs pointing you down the right driveway and into the parking lot. If you miss it, just follow the sound of nervous laughter.
Packet Pickup:
- Time: 8:00 - 9:00 AM
- Swing by the Confluence Tent to grab your packet and bib.
Race Start:
- 9:00 AM-ish – we like to keep things casual. (Or are we just testing your sense of urgency? 🤔)
Course Map:
- Oh, you thought you'd know the course in advance? Not today! The map is a surprise, and we’ll all find out together when we arrive. Adventure awaits!
Special Feature:
- Hosted by Newbsanity, the ultimate obstacle and endurance playground in Upstate NY. If you survive this race, check out their weekly summer practices or year-round events—you might be hooked!
Weather Forecast:
- 39°F and sunny at the start (perfect “see-your-breath” conditions), warming up to a balmy 46°F by 11 AM. Dress in layers so you can peel off the frostbite and show off that race gear underneath. Don’t forget dry clothes for after—unless, of course, you want to “freeze the moment” forever. ❄️
What to Wear:
- Spike-friendly course! Whether you’re Team Spikes or Team Trail Shoes, bring your best footing. Start in your warmups to stay toasty pre-race, then strip down for maximum performance. And for after? Bring something cozy so you don’t turn into a popsicle.
Don’t Forget Your Bib:
- If you leave it at home, we’ll have the legendary “bib of shame” waiting. Wear it proudly and remember: the bib of shame is a rite of passage in the world of forgetful runners.
