Sunset Runway 5K Press Release and Media Advisory

The Sunset Runway 5K is back and better than ever, set for Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Greater Binghamton Airport. This year’s race not only supports Advocates for Autism but also celebrates the exciting renovations and upgrades happening at the airport. Runners and walkers will enjoy a unique course on the tarmac, with the sunset providing a stunning backdrop. Participants can expect great swag, including commemorative medals (some will be shipped post-race due to high demand) and the chance to try out Brooks' latest "nightlife" reflective gear.

The race doesn’t end at the finish line—stick around for the after-party at Hangar 2, featuring live music by If Madrid, a Moe's Burrito meal for every participant, and an ice cream truck with treats for purchase. With awards, giveaways, and the scenic sunset, this 5K promises to be a memorable evening for everyone involved!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Confluence Running Events Presents: Loop the Lemur at the Ross Park Zoo

Confluence Running Events is excited to host the annual "Loop the Lemur at the Ross Park Zoo" on May 18, 2024, in Binghamton, NY. This unique event challenges participants to "loop" the lemurs by running or walking as many times as possible around a .8 mile loop within the Ross Park Zoo during designated 6-hour, 2-hour, or 1-hour intervals. The event also features a team mileage competition and a special kids fun run, ensuring a day full of activities for all ages. Celebrations continue post-race with the "Tail"-Gate Party, featuring live music by Dr. Dana & the Jam Dept and delicious food sponsored by Sweetay’s LLC. A portion of the proceeds will support the zoo's efforts to protect endangered species like the black-and-white ruffed lemurs, Menabe and Rizzo, enhancing both conservation and community wellness.
