Top Finishers and Race Highlights
Jordan Varano of Binghamton, NY, took first place with an impressive 17:34.79 (5:40/mile pace), while Declan Giannone of Brackney, PA, followed closely behind at 18:37.10. The top female finisher was Emily Gunther of Vestal, NY, clocking in at 20:00.77, securing her spot as the fastest woman on the course.

One of the most memorable moments of the race was the incredible energy from two young volunteers stationed at an early course turn. Their enthusiastic cheering and encouragement kept runners smiling and pushing forward, whether they were maintaining a 5-minute mile pace or enjoying a 15-minute mile walk. Their spirit embodied the heart of Cupid’s Chase—support, inclusivity, and joy.

A Race That Leaves an Impact
Beyond the race results, Cupid’s Chase 5K was a true celebration of community. Runners received official race medals, drawstring bags, and commemorative shirts, and the top finishers in each age category took home well-earned awards. The event’s accessibility and welcoming atmosphere made it a standout experience, ensuring that every participant, regardless of ability, felt valued and included.
With another successful year in the books, Cupid’s Chase 5K continues to grow as a staple event in the running community. Whether you’re racing to set a new PR, running for a cause, or simply enjoying the camaraderie, this event proves that love and running go hand in hand.
