The Marathon Invitational Next-day Replay brought out incredible performances at Appleby Elementary School on October 20th, 2024. With sunny skies and 40-degree temperatures, runners faced the two-loop course with determination and team spirit, making this third race in the Southern Tier Cross Country Series a memorable one.

Individual Results:
Standout performances were seen across the board, with Steve Esposito from HUSTLE XC taking first place in the men's division, followed closely by Ryan Brizzolara and Eric Repp from NEWBSANITY. On the women’s side, Emily Miller of Team Confluence secured the top spot once again, continuing her strong streak in the series.

This special award honors the memory of Joe Reynolds, a long-time STXC runner who embodied the spirit of cross-country through his kindness and uplifting presence. Each week, the award is given to a participant who, like Joe, spreads positivity and supports others on and off the course. Sarah’s dedication to encouraging her fellow runners truly reflects the essence of this award.

Season Standings: Breaking Down the Divisions
As the Southern Tier Cross Country Series progresses, the season standings are shaping up across multiple divisions, offering exciting competition for all participants. Each team’s performance in the individual races is reflected in the Overall, Men’s, Mixed, and Women’s Divisions, making every race count toward their season totals.

Overall Division: Leading the pack are the Bogus City Striders, followed closely by Thilly Wabbit and Team Confluence. These teams have shown strong participation and consistency across all races, making them top contenders for the overall title.

Men’s Division: In the battle of the men’s teams, HUSTLE XC has emerged as the team to beat, with Team Confluence and NEWBSANITY hot on their heels. With some impressive individual performances, the competition remains fierce as we head into the latter half of the series.
