Orange Runners Club Youth Shoe Program

The Orange Runners Club is thrilled to present our Youth Running Shoe Program, a new initiative designed to support local middle school, high school, and Special Olympic runners in need of proper footwear for cross country or track events. Recognizing that financial barriers can prevent young athletes from accessing the equipment they need, this program aims to bridge that gap by providing high-quality running shoes to those who might not otherwise afford them. By working closely with coaches who can nominate athletes based on their financial need, we ensure that the right resources reach the right runners. The referral process is straightforward, involving a simple email to Justin DePierro, the ORC President, who will handle the distribution of the information to the board for timely decision-making.

The program is generously sponsored by the Orange Runners Club, with Confluence Running playing a crucial role by supplying the shoes at a discounted rate to stretch the dollars of the club. This partnership not only makes the program financially viable but also strengthens the community’s support network for young athletes. We encourage everyone to patronize Confluence Running and express their gratitude for their ongoing support of youth programs. Coaches who wish to refer athletes or have questions about the program can reach out to the designated contacts to ensure their runners have the best possible start in their athletic journeys.
