Running Towards Wellness: Binghamton University’s Marathon Training Journey
Each fall, students at Binghamton University take on an extraordinary challenge through the Marathon Training course (HWS 222). This unique two-credit class blends rigorous physical training with wellness education, culminating in a semester-end half marathon through the scenic South Side of Binghamton. Under the guidance of instructor Matthew Gawors, participants not only enhance their endurance and fitness but also develop lifelong habits for health and resilience. The journey concludes with a celebratory run starting and ending at the West Gym, showcasing the dedication and achievements of these future wellness leaders.
